In 2015, my wife and I (then newlyweds) began furnishing our home only to discover that everything that suited our style were either way too expensive or was just a pretty facade over something cheaply made in a factory that would eventually end up in the trash. High quality furnishings was something reserved for the wealthy and I thought, why shouldn't everyone be able to have a stand out piece of art that they could cherish for their home and for generations ahead.

In 2010, as an Offshore Surveyor, I began exploring the globe, not as tourist but as an aimless visitor awaiting the next contract. With travel, came a love for art and the way people coexist in their unique environments. I began studying the art of Japanese joinery, Scandinavian design and Danish Minimalism. I read journals of Fine Woodworking and I fantasied of starting my own wood workshop, replicating some of the shops I'd seen along the quiet cobblestone alleys of Amsterdam. It became clear to me, an area is truly defined by one's personality.

When the opportunity presented itself, I began putting plans into action and established a space where I can allow my creative juices to materialize.
